Re: Lost my Assistant and Friend Today
Thanks TG, I needed this as well as the redhead joke
Today was a rough day to grind through. The 3rd shift crew helped me do the heavy moving that Roy and I was to do yesterday morning. Like some places where different shifts bumps heads is or was no different at my work. Today they stayed late to help me get the piece of equipment to the shop. I did get the repairs made today even though it was a 2 hour job but took me all day. Picking up the whole load made me realize how much of a help Roy was.
I remember back of posting about how frustrated it was being the only tech taking care of the needs of 9 stores for my first 10 years of posting. It sure was great having the extra help (especially with it being Roy) for the last 3. My boss did say today that they do plan to get a replacement as they realized how much of an asset it was having that extra person. Especially now with new equipment that has added menu items. This was somewhat a relief, but still I grieve the loss of Roy.
Last evening, my wife got a call from our son-in-law. Our daughter was admitted to the hospital to the physic ward. OMG the drama with that girl. All her problems are brought on by herself. Thank God my SIL has stuck it out with her. Only thing that is keeping my grandsons sane.
Too many things in Roys death does not show it was a willing suicide. Suicide note had 3 different hand writtings, credits cards missing from his wallet, and his house showed signs of a struggle. Hopefully the autopsy will answer some questions. The chain of events that happened does not conform to the character that of Roy. This is odd and very strange. Sure pray and hope the investigation finds the answers to why.
Thanks for the support. I will let Sara know she has many friends supporting her than she knows. I wish to thank the iboats family here for the strong support. Thank you my shipmates and friends..........SS
I cannot imagine how that little girl feels....i have two now in college and have tried to demostrate to them the power of faith.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
?You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me??
The Lord replied, ?The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.?
It is times like this a person needs faith in something beyond what we can understand...Fatih is what keeps us alive and human
