My warning alarm and light come on and stay on even though nothing seems to be wrong. How is it triggered and possible fixes. Thanks in advance

One thing for sure is that you need to run with 50:1 in your tank untill it is sorted out.------Could be an air leak / blockage / or faulty module on the VRO pump.

On mine I found a hairline crack in the feed tube between the pump and the carb inlet, about a 6" long tube with a screen in it.

It was very hard to see any issues but once I moved the tube it broke a part. The tube was very hard and brittle.

I believe the crack allowed a small amount of air to be drawn in.

Might not be your problem but it is a place to look.

Good luck.

The low oil sensor is in the oil bottle, it warns you with a little chirp every 30 seconds or so when the oil level is getting low.

Prior to 1996 OMC had probs with those oil tanks giving off false signals due to the electronics in the oil tank. You may have one of them.
