Re: lower unit stuck Johnson 115
not for one this size. And it doesn't seem like I'm likely to go spend 30+ dollars on a manual to change a 30 dollar impeller. If I were trying to troubleshoot the ignition system, I could see it. I'm really not wanting to sound rude here, but there used to be a time when this was a good place to come and people tried to help people, based on their own experiences. My question was pretty simple to have you jump me about a manual on such a simple question.
The "do you have a manual" thing was so that if you did and I knew which one you had I could maybe reference something in it if needed. If you have trouble responding to questions asked when you come for help then you should include something like "Just give me the answer and don't ask me anything" in your original post. See what response you get then !!!
Below the carbs is a linkage that can be accessed usually with a 1/4" swivel, long or series of short 1/4" extensions and the relavent 1/4" drive socket. From what I know it is accessed from the starboard side and sometimes has a screwdriver slot in it as well. Some folk take the carb's off to do this but personally I do not. Wrap some teflon tape around the bolt head to keep it on the socket when replacing it.
By the way did you see the search function ???
You may find that useful as well in case you don't fancy answering anyone else's simple questions.
Hope all goes well for you.
