Finally going to paint my Starcraft. The bottom paint is in decent shape(solid, not flaking)....aside from a few bare spots. Going to use aluminum etch primer for the bare spots.
Bought Majic White paint and also gray primer. Since the existing paint is in decent shape...do I need to use primer? I lightly sanded the bottom of the boat and used 50/50 Vinegar solution.
If I do need to use primer...what is proper cure time before I can use the White paint(w/ catalyst hardener)?
After white paint is done...how long before I can splash the boat?
I read the "Woodonglass" write up btw. It didn't elaborate on cure times tho.
On a side note: I've read quite a few NEGATIVE reviews online about the Majic paint(including long cure times) Is it still a good paint or is there another paint that's now recommended over it?
