From this distance, looks like about 2800-3200 bucks worth of damage...you have any idea how many boat resto's that would buy...sheesh...

Alright, since the thread has always been a little broader than just boat building, I thought I would share this clip with you. Some of you "car" guys may get a kick out of this... This is the GM Test Track at Disney... Essentially, you tour a makeshift GM plant and see a variety of tests (emissions, etc...) and then you play the role of a "crash test dummy" as your test vehicle is put through a battery of tests... At the end, you take a couple of hair-pin turns going about 70. Pretty fun ride... If you have never done this, or are into car stuff, thought you might enjoy coming along for the ride.

P.S. My kids don't normally sport "face tats" - that was leftoever face painting from earlier in the day.

Quick update from my brief weekend work sessions and even more brief (but thankful to have) mid-week work session this evening:

Did a little sanding on the back side of the transom:

Followed by an acetone bath:

Then, some fairing with home-made micro-balloon fairing past (jello pudding) to even things out a bit.

And a quick video for ya:

Also, did a bunch of sanding on the inside of the transom (knocking down some air bubbles, etc...).... More boring stuff: should be glassing and sanding this god-forsaken transom for the next couple of weeks, and then I will move on to key-hole, stringers, etc...
