i just bought a '17 fishing boat and it has carpet. i thought about pulling it off. what's an inexpensive way to have it removed and replaced with ? or covered with something that is easy to wash yet anti-skid?

I have never painted a boat but paint mixed with a soft beach sand will always make for a nice non slick surface. I am assuming here that you will want some sort of marine grade paint.

does anyone know where i can buy cheap marine carpet?

I just bought marine grade carpet for the deck and the trailer bunks from a flooring manufacturer out of OKC, OK at a rate of $4.75 per foot at 6 feet wide. He might cut you a deal for better even yet! He will send samples if needed. I was able to find a perfect color match for this blue color of my bass boat. He was VERY easy to deal with in emailing. I found him on Ebay. The name is Spectra Flooring at www.boatcarpet.com.

Hey Lakester. To answer that question (which I get alot) is Frozen Okie. I received that nickname by the crew while working on the North Slope (Deadhorse and Pruhdoe Bay, Alaska) years ago. So, it kind of stuck with me.

Nice Tri hull. Personally, I like older boats. I guess mainly because they don't make me go broke ​
