Dealer wanted me to bring the boat in so they could fix. Since I found that both bolts are missing they are sending me the bolt and I'll install

Found another dealer which is also a Formula dealer, said they have 4 Mercruiser tech's. Be checking them out maybe in the fall if not just stopping by sooner

well, i would. that is more of a dealer prep thing not a failure after the fact. Especially a two or whatever year old boat.

I think one of the challenges with this boat ( as I understand it) is although essentially new, it has been through a couple of winterization cycles with the selling dealer.
It may take a while to get any wrenching issues sorted out to achieve a steady state.

Received the new bolt and installed, so it's ready (I hope)

When replacing the bolt I had to remove the step just inside to gain access, dealer did also. Found some issues there also and fixed them

On a very good note, I bought the boat from Bay Marine and told them about the missing pump and low Bat, they just called and said they will be sending me both of them new. Been great to deal with and I just asked if they could help me a little to pay for the Bat only, did not expect full cost.

Received new pump
Looking in the glove box and found 4 fender quick clips (like the ones on the Chap) but in a surprise found a torx bit driver in a bag with couple other things. Figure Formula figures everyone has a phillips but since they used torx on the helm panel, they supplied the tool if the buyer didn't have one. Dang that's nice

Scanned for codes and none found, as it should be
Shows 13.9 hours
My thought is did the dealer which drove it from Spring Lake to Grand Ripids actually break it in properly, my guess is no. It's 32 miles by land probably 50 miles maybe by water

Another Formula plus, gave me 5 year gold membership with SeaTow

SeaTow doesn't have a 24/7 tow service here but there is assistance here and believe they will pay for it if needed. I can count on one hand the amount of times I needed a tow in the last 50 years. Hope it stays that way ;)

I recall when I had my boat delivered by water . . . the captain made the 180 mile trip in about 5.5 hours . . . averaging 32 MPH and burning about 160 gallons. Of course the boat was already well broken in.

I suspect that your 'new' boat has a combination of use. If there is a GPS, sometimes you can look up the total miles covered. Knowing the hours, you can get the average speed to see if it seems realistic for a break-in period.

Another good point, when I had scanner attached I can look at hours at different rpm's
