According to the exploded parts diaghram, it is removeable. However it is also no longer available. It seems to me that you would need to remove the top pivot bolt of the starboard trim cylinder, and you should see two screws holding it on. There is an adjustable screw and stainless plate that needs to come off as well.
Why not just bypass it? If you find the place in the PTT wiring harness, you can unplug the switches two bullet connectors, and fashion a jumper wire to connect the wires in the harness.
