Re: Merc 470, new waterpump/cam seals...few more questions.
Remove the hose from the right side of the voltage regulator, point it into the bilge, start engine with muffs on, if you dont get water the problem is in the drive, you should get a lot of water if its running right.
If you get water, follow the hose on the other side of the regulator to the point that it connects to the exchanger, pull it start the motor with muff on, if you get water, put it back on and pull the hose that is in your post labled #1 from the exchanger, start motor with muffs on. If you dont get water the issues is the exchanger.
do it in that order, to properly trouble shoot the issue you start at the begining of the system and work your way till the end until you find an issue.
Let us know what you find.
I am almost positive I did the impeller right, heck I could be wrong, maybe after I try to figure out everything inside the boat figured out ill pull the lower end off, wont hurt.
Now do you think the heat exchanger could be clogged? I took the front cap off never the back one and sprayed the hose inside of that...
What hoses should I check for something being clogged inside?
solar7647-you're helping me out a bunchthanks!
