I was at the lake yesterday to run the boat because i havent had it out in 3-4wks. I have been having trouble with the pullrope, it would pull out, but it wouldnt 'catch' and turn the motor over. after pulling it 5-6 times, it would finally catch and work for a while. yesterday, it worked, and the motor ran great until, i slowed to let a boat pass so i could turn around, and while idling along, the engine just died. <br /><br />now the rope will not pull out, its like its locked up. I didnt hit anything, and water was shooting out from the engine just minutes before, because i keep my eye on that kinda thing. <br /><br />the gas is the same gas i used 3-4 weeks ago, i didnt add gas or oil or anything to it. it was shaken before use as well. <br /><br />any ideas what the problem is? please tell me that the motor isnt locked up and non-fixable. this has been a great engine. I'm hoping it has something to do with the pullrope troubles i have been having already.
