Re: Merc & Johnson

If you like that style of boat just find a working one. It will be cheaper in the long run and you start with a working boat.

I wasn't "Drilling" you, I was trying to get you to open your eyes, which you did.
Sure I was a cadet here. But I also was a marine tech 20 years before coming to this site, and still doing the same thing. Working on these boat is my job, not a hobby.
I have seen new guys buy boats by sight alone and get burned many times.

You have made a wise choice; that boat would only bring you tears.

May look cool, but big heavy tub and early models had the infamous 2 cycle stringer drive. You would never be able to sell it, and that boat won't sink...

Johnson did make an inboard boat w/stern drive, my friends dad had one I think it was like late 50s' or early 60s'. It's the only one that I've ever seen.

counts .. And that is fun time and gas time lol ...if it doesn,t break down first..

Re: Merc & Johnson

There are a bunch of tri hulls with I/O setups around here. My friend was looking at a Chrysler made one a couple years back.
