Going to need to advise further
One of the parts listed is a Sierra "aftermarket" part. Note that BAM and Mercury Marine do not list the E choke, only the dash pot

Not saying your not right, but if you use Mercury parts break down its not listed.

Nit sure why this is so hard link i sent has both sierra and merc choke elements listed…attached is a photo of the electric choke on my 91 3.0

It doesn't match up to a MC serial number. I assume you were looking for the engine number to match up the throttle linkage issue in your other thread?

If so you may have an issue with how the later motors routed the throttle cable. If you look at the photo I posted of my 91 3.0 you can see the throttle cable coming across the top of the valve cover perpendicular to the length of the engine just behind the breather hose (VC to flame arrestor). The barrel nut attaches to a stud coming off off cast in thread in valve cover and goes direct to carb vs having a linkage off manifold.... May also be a symptom of the shift plate being mounted elsewhere on an mc1 not on valve cover like i think your engine is supposed to have

when you look at the photo you posted of your carb on the manidold - you can see the stud on the carb linkage and the groove in the valve cover where your throttle cable should go ( I belive...)

Actually, I was thinking there may data in the code that hints at a year. I've decided to fabricate a throttle linkage.

Judging but what you have there probably mid to late 90's at some point they switched back to a stamped valve cover from the cast one. Having a mercarb vs TKS, assuming carb is original, would likely put it pre 2008 or so when the mercarb came out (could be of on the year).

Cast aluminum cover is serial 0K9999999 and below

My current boat is an 0M69xxxx serial - engine was built in 2003 so thinking 0K9999... would be late 90's or a tad earlier ....

you would probably have better luck looking at the casting numbers on the block and seeing if you could research that. usually there will be a date code when it was cast but I have no idea what it would be for the 3.0

My block number is 1M10082RQ.

I'll grab some casting numbers off the block and see if I can discern any dating info there.

if the number is 01 its a 2001 if it was a 1991 it would be 91. I have 2 of these engines and the one from my 1988 boat has an 88 on the block and the one from my 94 boat has a 93 on the block
