I've got a 77 Starcraft Holiday i/o with a Mercruiser 140 that I'd like to get the engine pulled along with the leg and get it all ok'd so to speak. I'll also be doing the transom at the same time.
I'm looking online to order some transom installation kits and any other parts that I can do at the same time. It would probably save me money to do my own ordering.
Mercruiser 140 inboard (serial number 4651783) and Mercruiser leg (serial number 4683667)
Just wondering the exact leg type as most web sites confuse the hell out of the issue.
Here's a webpage I've been using to help identify the leg... http://www.sterndrive.info/sterndriveparts/identify_my_outdrive.html
I was also wondering what are the best companies to buy from. Is Sierra comparable to genuine Mercuiser parts? I'd prefer to buy the best as I'd like to do this as few times as possible
Here's a pic of the leg.
