Mercury Serial Number

I have a 1994 Mercury Tracker 40hp outboard motor, serial number 0G100240. When I try to find my motor in any kind of serial number reference, it comes up as a 40hp 30 jet. Mine is not a jet. See below (copied and pasted). Can anyone explain this and maybe give me a link to accurate sn info?

I also get 40/30 jet in the places I normally look at.

Possibly it has been converted from jet to prop. It's happened before.

Is this a 2 cylinder motor ?----Any pictures of the motor powerhead ??

It is a 4 cyl, 2 stroke. No pic

Your SN falls in the 1994 range, so any matches from the model chart? For example, ELPTO meaning electric start, long shaft, power trim, oil injection
