Hey Everyone.
Got a question for all you Volvo/Penta Guru's. I have a 1984 Volvo Penta 4 cylinder on a Bayliner Capri. She has the internal-cooling system. Just took it into the boat shop and had the carb rebuilt, major tune up and the Exhaust Bellow replaced. She runs so much better now! That cost me enough money I want to spend at this time. And the mechanic said I have a small water leak and the O-Rings on the copper tubing will need to replaced sometime in the future. My Question is that when I'm on Plain running about 30 MPH, the leak seams to spray water all around the engine compartment. Is this a real bad thing and should I get it fixed right away? This Engine has a fresh water-cooling system. I'm going to flush it out and replace the coolant and fresh water. Do you think this water leak can cause allot more damage than I might realize? Any suggestions would be a great help. The mechanic said its a minor leak. Would Duck tape work? LOL Thanks, Dan
