I notice a tiller arm and a steering wheel, which one is it? Tiller or remote steer?

I notice a throttle ball and shift lever and twist grip. She's ambidextrous yet totally my female...

IMAG0234.jpg Somewhere the vintage glass globe thing fell off. Found this glass salt shaker at Dollar General. It screws on with a convenient interference that won't come loose, hell, it'll barley come back off, ha ha...

Good luck. :) Some people warm it up in a bucket before going to the first launch to make sure it starts and is warmed up. Of course it also depends on how far you have to drive/tow.

Warmed her up in the driveway before each outing with the ear muffs. Started on first pull after sitting over night and part of the day each time. Got in just more than a foot of water crusin' the east bay. Rookie here got off the throttle and stirred up some sand. Last warm up I was checking for water pump flow and cool water temp.... All is well, steady as she goes.

Re: Miss Peachtree 1953 Chris Craft Runabout Kit Boat

Hey, Here's the prop off my super powerful '56 Fastwin 15. It is cast with the OMC logo and "S 15" characters opposing each other. It's pin drive. The question is what is the pitch and what else is available? Can a super knowledge person enlighten me?

I'm going to use Android GPS Speedview next time out, as I am guessing the boat will do 24 or 25 now. I suppose after all this brain drain it wont be able to go any faster anyway,,,, ha ha..... Not equipped with a tach yet. I did see a cool in dash tach on a Lone Star with an 18 on You Tube. I'll probably snatch up a tiny tach soon though, just for testing.

Think I'll take this prop with me along with a set of calipers. Do the around the lake drive and hit the used part places and Marina's and see what may be lying around? Looking for that cool tach and maybe a prop.

Nice Craft...excellent eye candy upon the liquid expanse...
Not a super knowledge-type human here, but my best guess is the 15 on the orbiting propulsion unit equates to the pitch...but again just a superficial maybe on that analogy...

Re: Miss Peachtree, prop and tach scrutiny....

Purchased the tachometer, super decent awesome find. Chrome pot metal vintage stock.
IMAG0274.jpg

Michigan prop found at same place. Seller states that my prop is a pitch 7 and this other prop is a pitch 10. The "old guy" was darn cool at Hardcore Performance, he sand blasted my stock prop to reveal the factory casting numbers which are 203261. IMAG0273.jpg.

I may run over there to pick up this prop anyway, not knowing for sure.

I want to go a bit faster, yet it's not the end of the world. I would rather tool up the mighty Ski-Twin for mile an hour. Fabricating the mahogany transom with a squish fit will be most important for proper fitment, and no holes in vintage craft...

Re: Miss Peachtree

Visit a motorcycle shop and get some fuel tank coating - there are kits available.

Take some time and post a few shots of the entire boat/motor. What are your plans for the mahogany?

Re: Miss Peachtree

I left Miss Peachtree in the garage up at Peaches, fuming with 5 coffee cans a quarter filled with ammonia in each, under the pup tent. Anticipating I would be there by now for a color tour. Now its cold all the time and I'm wondering what she looks like under the covers...

Re: Miss Peachtree

For years all concern was snowmobiling and Tip-Up-Town, walking on frozen water on Houghton Lake.

This Summer past was full of swimming and boating activity, something special. I will move to 33 or possibly a 40 pony Evinrude for occasional sporting duty this Spring.

Miss Peachtree has shown me where I should be at this point in time in my life, my dear sweet mahagony girl.

There is no place I would rather be, then with her.

Re: Miss Peachtree

not a good idea to run the motor on muffs :/ it needs to be in a test tank with water filled up to about and inch or two below the main exhaust port.
