Re: More poll number propaganda from the left
This is a silly argument. Of course the results of any poll will be determined by the accuracy of the mix of the respondents to the population as a whole.

Most reputable polling services somewhere publish the scientific basis for the chosen sample. The CBS poll is no exception) No sample will be perfect, which is why there is a margin of error, and why one poll will vary in result from another. So what? It does give, if accurately done, a general idea of what the prevailing attitude of the general public, for whatever that is worth.

It is admittedly by even the pollsters not a precise number (Margin of error). So what? It is instructive, even in a limited way. They are valuable, and accurate to a degree, which is why every political party conducts them.

Sure, you could only poll members of moveon.org, or only the Rush Limaugh fan club, and get vastly different results, but for what end? No serious polling company, or news organization, would align themselves with such a poll, despite the protests of those that don't like the results.
