You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.
You call me "Whiteboy", "Cracker", "Honkey", "Whitey" and you think it's OK.

But when I call you, ***ger, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-***ger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink you call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chaz Day.
You have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.

If we had WET(white entertainment television) we'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.

If we had white history month, we'd be racists.

If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be racists.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were "White colleges" that would be a racist college.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

Martin Luther King was supposed to be a man of peace right? So why is it that in ANY town anywhere MLK Ave is one of the worst to break down on?

I am proud.

But, you call me a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

PS- MODS: If its too far out there go ahead and kill it. I edited it quite a bit because its something I really believe needs to be addressed. Society has gotten to the point that its almost illegal to be a white male. Anyone disagree?

I know its a little bit out there Boom. I seen it and it got me fired up the more I thought about it.

I don't play the politics game very well. It has something to do with the fact that I hate people that speak out of the side of their mouth. If ya have something to say just go ahead and say it is the way I see it. Its all true, no matter who doesn't like it. They'll probably kill it anyhow.

I don't think it was badly stated at all. It was simply direct and to the point and didn't dance around the issue.

It's sort of like the game we played as children, KB. You remember "king of the mountain", right?

The guy on top is always the only one under attack.

Pretty harsh language there, and we both know that there are many exceptions to those generalizations, but many who are on top of the mountain share your feelings.

LEOs probably get a stronger dose and a closer view of what you describe than the average honky.

Just remember that any individual you come into contact with may not fit what you say here and does not deserve to be punished for the sins of others.

Could just about be the definition of racisms.

And KB, I know just how you feel. But we'll get over it and continue to do what's just, correct and right any way. As most people do.

Very true JB. I do my very best to not discriminate. I won't lie and say that I haven't or that I won't in the future cause we all do. Everyone discriminates in some fashion, and those that say they haven't/don't/won't are pathetic liars. All a person can do is try to treat everyone fairly. Ya really can't expect more than that from anyone. I do my best, cause I expect the same, and because its the right thing to do.

In this day and age it's really a shame to see racism still going as strong as it ever was, well maybe not as much since people seem to TOLERATE other well on the SURFACE. As long as there are people that look different, there will be racism. Heck, some can't stand the other just because they have different religious belief let alone looking different. :( I'm not saying I am discriminating free but it definetely not base on ethnicity.

Re: More why questions.

I had the good fortune to run into a guy in the army awhile back. Worked with him for about 1.5 years. Great guy.

He proclaimed himself, as a black man, "I hate black people." He felt his own race was holding him back, by doing/saying the things above. He was almost ashamed to be a black man because of it. Not sure where I'm going with this, just thought I'd share. :D

Re: More why questions.

As soon as we become a colorblind society, where merit counts above all else, and no one is discriminated based on color, creed, ethnicity, etc. I will be more sympathetic to your point of view.

Until then, we need the force of law behind leveling factors in society. Sure some programs have worked better than others, and some may even be counter productive for some. Nothing is perfect, and they should be modified-- but doing nothing and pretending there is no problem with racism in this country is not a workable option.

I just can't get too worked up about the plight of WASPS.

Re: More why questions.

There are different ways to "level" the field, PW2, assuming that would be a good thing.

We could build up the low points or we could lower the high points.

Suppose we were talking about a sport competition rather than a capitalistic society. That would mean either giving the losers free points (what KB is complaining about) or taking points away from the winners as a penalty for winning (what the libs want to do with income tax structure). That would lead to some pretty poor games.

But I don't think it is a good idea. The result would be a communistic society with zero incentive to excel, innovate, produce or create.

We have winners and losers. Some of each are honkys, some of each are so-called "minorities". Never forget that the poorest losers in our society would be viewed as indigent wealthy almost anywhere else in the world.
