Hi everyone, wanted to ask a couple of quick questions firstly, is a harder start a sign of lowering compression, I have noticed it is taking my motor a bit longer to start, I crank it more than I used to, but in saying that once it has warmed up, it will start hit every time. I finally got my new comp gauge now, but I am SCARED to test it, as I am no internal mehanic.
I can tune outboards, maintain them and alter them, but when it comes to taking them apart and repairing them, well let's just say I always end up with some bolts left over. Am I just better biting the bullet and doing my compression and if it is pretty even, just let it go without further repair, or should I repair the bad compression now. Anyway I will post my compression readings tomorrow hopefully.
