Re: Mounting transducer inside boat?
I have successfully mounted a through hull transducer on an aluminum boat (dive-charter boat). The transducer must be submergered in water and not touching the metal. there must be no air between the bottom of whatever is holding the water that holds the transducer and the hull of the boat. In other words, it is not easy - you'd likely have to have a spot designed to take the transducer or have water in the hull. If you create a barrier so to speak and will it with water and place the transducer inside, it will work.
