Is the Yamaha multi function RPM gage a one size fits all or is there a setting to distinguish between V-4 and V-6 on the back? <br />Thanks

Re: Multi function gage question

its done by the tach pole setting. v4 and v6 both use the 12 pole setting. unless its the newere one with dip switches. then it must be set to the proper 6 or 12 pole position. but even then its interchangable between v4 and v6 2 strokes with no changes nessasary unless the newest motor is a two wire trim sender. what are ya trying to do ?

Re: Multi function gage question

Rodbolt I was checking how much prop slip I had and was thinking that maybe the TAC was on the V-6 mode. 15 pitch prop SS / 2.0 drive gear /5700 RPM's / -6.2175 slip. Does that sound right to you? Also at 5700 RPM the engine just wont make any more power and sounds like its missing out. It runs great up to about 5700 RPM’s. I was wondering also if that was the rev-limiter shutting the engine down. <br />Thanks
