To all my friends here on iboats. I have been mia here for a while as I have been dealing with my Dads cancer. Unfortunately he passed this am at 9:40 at the age of 88. He was quite a character and has many friends and family who will truly miss him. He had been very active up until this past two months. He could always be found at one of his local watering holes...sneaking a kiss and dancing the night away with many of "his girls".
He was a WW2 veteran of the Army Air Force and looked forward every year to his squadron reunions. He had been decorated several times as a member of his bombing squadron that made many runs over German soil.
His passing leaves us with many many memories from our times together. Much of it was on the water or at a favorite fishing hole. I learned all I needed and more than I wanted at times. God bless him, as our lives will surely be a little empty without him.
RIP Earle A Thompson 1921 - 2010
