On the trolling motor issue...mine is a Motorguide. The trip switch is a 40 amp. Someone here said I should try a 50 or 60 amp so I might go that route. It will run for ever on all other speeds and will run for about 5 minutes or so on 5 speed and then trip.

Oh!! Actually the guy that sold me the boat gave me everything that was in the boat too! So I have an emergency kit, floaters for the side of the boat...if that is what they are called. There is 3 kids life jackets and 3 adult ones. They are all really nice too so I was really surprised! I'm going to two kid ones and I bought a 4th adult as that is about all I need. Good thing I had my emergency kit too. On the way home from Lake Fork about 15 miles away from home my driver side trailer tire blew up into shreds! Scared the hell out of me and everyone in the car too! Was going about 65-70 when it happened. Long story but had to get a police officer to block off one side of the road. Then the spair had no air so I had "troll" up to the gas station about 500 yards away to get air in it. After looking at the tire that didn't blow it looks like this boat/trailer sat for a long time and didn't get used much. The tires have cracks in them all over. Getting all new tires tomorrow just to be safe. Guess that is why my motor runs so well...he never used it!
