I had 7 wheel barrows full of leaves and other debris... plus some good quality dirt from the leaves decaying...

That is why some of us think you got rot in your boat too.

It needs a soapy scrub but the floors don't bend or creek. I weigh 218lbs no soft spots I found..

Spoke to soon it creeks and probably rotten. Tomorrow I'm unscrewing seats and going yo tear into the floor.need some help with a ? Any good solution of tearing the floor up?

Before you get to excited about cutting into the deck, you need to take everything out that can be taken out. Seats, engine control, motor, if it can be taken out get it out. Then clean it, nothing worse than working on dirty stuff, if you have to do a restore you will get plenty dirty. I think you said you wanted different carpet, rip it out. Carpet is good at hiding problems as well as causing problems.

From the pics your hull looks pretty nice for a boat its age but you really have to look for problems. If this is the case you boat is a canidate for a restore. It won't be cheap, nothing about any boat is cheap; but you will know how it's built and the quality.

I also suggest you do lots of reading on here and other sites about boat restoration especially anything you can find about your boat. I think it's worth the effort; your other half may not like it but she will like the boat once you get it on the water.

Ok, the motor is an electric shift. It's all about the lower unit and since it's in pieces there's prolly no chance you're ever gunna get it back into service. So Now you have to find a motor for her. That's a minimum of $500 and probably more like $1,000. A trailer is $150 to $250 or you might be able to get the one you have fabricated to work for a bit less. Now to totally restore her and bring her back to a usable boat my best Guess-ti-mate would be $2,000 more and 200 hours of your time and effort. So, you'll have approx $3,250 invested in her before you ever get on the water. But you'll know every inch of her, she'll be Better than she was from the factory, and she'll last for decades. If this sounds like something you're willing to commit to then...LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update:Already in progress. I started the tear down. (Moved trailer 6 diff spots because I was wanting level ground.) I took the seats up (pain in the butt bolts... then tore the carpet up. Then tore laminate up. I started to take the laminate down from the sides and take the cable box down... Sooooo steering unit is froze still. From what you say motor is junk so find a different one. Here's the question what motor would be good for this type of boat? And how the hell do I tear up the floor safetly? I keep reading people acidently cutting to much then wam cut hull... and dumb question. Since I am redoing the whole boat does the top of the boat come off? Or is it a 1 piece mold... I'm going upload and post pics right now

Been a rough day the female I was with didn't like how I raised my ex fiance daughter and I consider her my own and I am going to court with my daughters mom so biological dad don't get any custody... long story. So what better to take the stress out on? TEARING **** UP!!! LOL

You can take the cap of as a unit or you can cut the back portion off so you can get to the transom, ask for more details before you do this. There are some advantages and disadvantage of each.

Note: I took side panel off that held the throttle on... its raining and pouring atm. Hopefully it'll clean the boat out for me

Anyways gotta get some sleep mandatory fun day at work tomorrow! Going to be fun. Then back to cleaning scrubbing and more dissamble the rest. I need help and info on cutting my floor out. Its fiberglassed in on the sides... please help lol

Mandatory fun day at work. Sounds like the army. To start with you are going to need a circular saw and a angle grinder. That will probably do 95% of the work.

I have a cheap grinder I bought when I was using it to cut metal and I have a circular saw with a ripping blade.. will that work. Can you give me more info like where to and how close and how deep?

Yep. First have you found info on your boat showing where your stringers should be located? Take measurements and pictures of your boat. You need to measure you the width (especially) and length of your deck. The width of your boat at various points at the top of the hull, write these down. These will help make sure your hull doesn't get out of allignment. INMO, your first cut should be down the middle, set the blade from 1/2 to 3/4 in. This will help determine how thick your deck is. Depending how rotted and how strong your are you may be able to pull most of your deck out. During this pay attention and take notes and pictures of your boat is constructed.
Once you start cutting and start taking things out you can't go back and you may not remember what you had in the boat before. The idea is to get the boat back to original condition as much as possible. You may want to make some modifications after doing some research but just remember your boat last this long the way it's constructed.

How quick are you planning on getting this done?

Well I am thinking the top shell needs to come off before I start cutting or no? There isn't a lot of flooring in the boat maybe like a 6' by 8' or something. Its a 15.5' long boat if I'm not mistaken... I want to tear the floor up tomorrow hopefully if weather presided

I would wait on taking the top off, this is where the measurements come into play along with making a support structure to keep your boat hull from going out of shape. Don't be guessing on your deck width you will need these measurements for your new deck. Make sure you cut off center so you can get a good assessment of your stringers. You might be able to find your stringer with a hammer. Just cut small and open up the deck and look inside to see how its structured, you will want to take just the deck up first then document and measure structure, then you can go from there.

Tag and label it. You know anything about electrical work? If it can be moved out of the way of work do that. It was late into my project before I removed most of my wiring. In fact that is what I have to find this weekend before I get my boat back from the boatman with the engine.

I know bout electrical systems. I was in FFA andwent to state for mechanics and a had a blast. Know about small engines too. Can I buy new parts for the motor? Yea l tag and take pictures and liable some more lol

Good you got some skills. Get use to taking pictures, you will be mad when you come to a problem and have no referance to what was. I don't know about your particular moter but you can find parts on ebay a lot of times. Some new, others salvaged. Others on here will offer help in getting parts.

I can help you with the motor as far as what size shaft you need. Measure the top of the transom to the bottom point of the hull.
IF it is 17 to 19" you need a short shaft motor
If it is 19 to 22 you need a long a long shaft motor
If it is 22 to 27 to need an extra long shaft.
