just a thought, there was mention of pipe insulation for flotation. I maintain properties and pipe insulation is definitely water resistant but i cannot comment on it's floating characteristics. we have leaky pipes turn up all the time and the insulation is never soaked just wet on the outside and it will float but is it enough to keep a boat afloat? My guess, yes. but just a guess.

Col, I know where you can get those corner pieces as well. There is a guy near EZ who has plenty of them, brand new! Price is not bad at all either. Mine just came in the mail and it even has the original part number still on it. PM me if you need more info.

I ended up using resto pro primer (2 coats) and gloss white (2 coats) since i read alot of the restos and people kinda liked the restoleum. I bought the led lights on clearance last year for $25. I rolled and sponge brushed the trailer and use spray can for the black parts after brush priming. I took off the hubs and found one of them had no seal, the other one leaked. Imagine the grease all over everything! How do i measure the bearings so i can get another set?

Well i sanded and primed two coats on the 3 rims after taping off the tires and valves and painted first coat in white last night. Had alot of fun cleaning the grease off with engine cleaner wire brush and power washer then sos and dawn. Finally came off. Hhheeeww! Pics tonight after work and second coat.

Trailers looking good, just started tinkering with mine yesterday, wanna give the hull paint some set-up time so figured now's as good a time as any.

As to your bearing question, clean one up and take it to your local trailer supply or auto parts store, they'll use the numbers on it to get the correct size or cross reference it if need be...easy peasy :D

Re: my first starcraft 160 super sport

bought the carpet for bunks and adhesive and ripped a 5 ft long 2 x 12 in half to have 2 x 6 bunks. Drilled one out and installed carriage bolts. tomorrow's plan: finish bunks and install winch, maybe start cleaning garage to get boat in for painting prep. Went with outdoor carpet from HD. After seeing the carpet I thought about doing a snap in carpet after I vinyl the floor.

I was just reading a couple of other forums and i believe everyone is talking about epoxy resin? If so what should I apply with?

Foam roller and or brush. Clean well if you want to reuse them.
