Monday morning I was up early with the wife, she leaves for work at 5am. So I was doing emails and a little surfing and went to graigslist to look for a motor. While scrolling through the ads I came across a 1984 Lund S14 DLX with side console steering. Ad said needs work, Floor rotted, old trailer, no motor. $375.00
There was a picture and it didn't look to bad and I said to myself, No Way! Can't be! Too under priced. Call the number at 7am and at 7:30 I was there looking at this boat.
The thing was parked in back of a repair shop in a corner under a bunch of small trees. Both tires were flat, it was full of leaves ond other debris. Moss and small plants growing out of the carpet.
The guy stated that it's been sitting there for 6 years after he blew up the motor. Well either this guy didn't know what it's worth or he just wanted to dump it. I looked it over very closely then brought it home.
Yesterday I finally had some time so I tipped the whole thing up so the bow was pointed at the sky and I took a hose to it. After a couple hours I finally had clear water running out of the drain then filled'er up to the water line and checked the bottom. Completely dry! And yes, it did clean up nicely and the deck is solid though the carpet is stained but not rotted.
I think I stole it for the price. I'll try and post some pictures later but for now it's bedtime.
