Re: My new Starcraft Project

Took the unnamed boat out one last time before winterizing this past Sunday. Fished in the ocean and the delaware bay. Caught my first striper ever, only 24 inches though. What a fun day! I took video of our return trip from our last fishing spot to the entrance of the Cape May Canal, the water was calm so we were able to cruise near WOT. We are doing about 30mph.

These are my plans for the winter, in no specific order.
1. Rewire everything!
2. Paint, gonna go with White and a blue stripe on the sides. I'm going to remove the stripe on the bow even though I really like it. It get burning hot in the sun and I frequently sit up there while fishing.
3. Install a battery switch and a second battery.
4. Replace the dashboard.
5. Replace the exhaust vents which are falling apart.

Okay guys I need your help with a custom boat lift that I'm going to try and build. Do me a favor and check this out and post some ideas!

Update: Paint time!

Over the last week or two we've been removing parts, sanding, cleaning, sanding, taping, and sanding. There's really not much more to say. Here's a bunch of pictures, the last few with two coats of primer. Should have fully painted pictures up Monday, enjoy!

Kinda looks like a speedboat without the windshield and bow rail

Looking good Jerry. Love the plastic paint shop! When does your season start again in PA?

Excellent! Nice tent too buddy.

Yah, I was going to use the fork lift to take my boat off too but, uh, well, I remembered I didn't have one of those.:D

Thanks, I'm thinking we'll be able to get out on the water mid March, it'll be cold though!!

I'll tell you what, that forklift made everything easy! I don't know how you guys do it without one!

Paint will be sprayed on tonight, hopefully I'll have some pictures tomorrow, Monday at the latest.

Looks good, excellent work on the paint booth.

She will be a brand-new rig this spring. The fish won't stand a chance:D

OOoooooo, shiny new paint! Nice Jerry!

Thanks! The paint is still pretty wet in those pics though. I doubt it'll be that shinny when fully dry but it'll still look way better than before!

Haha, actually with all the sanding, instead of "Soon" it was more like... "Be done already!!!"...
