Joshua, gotcha on the seal for exhaust...just thought in my small brain that maybe there was some sort of gasket that sandwhiced in between the connection from the foot to the rest of the motor.

Now, I have a question about what the motor should look like as far as where water should be exiting when the water pump is working corretly...where should water be coming out of?

Mostly outta the prop. It may also spit a little from the exhaust relief ports.

See those little vents above the cavation plate? Right there it will flow

There is no pee pee shooter like the newer stuff
