Re: Nascar

I know Robby Gordon, well I've met him a few times anyway, he's pretty down to earth, but he'll lay a fender on you in a second if he feels you wronged him. I would never call him a gentleman on the track though :D

I doubt Terry Labonte would have lost the draft at Bristol! :p

Re: Nascar

The ONLY thing that pisses me off about Nascar is the actual restrictor plates. These cars are capable of much higher speeds....let these guys race. Take off the damn plates and lets watch some real boogity boogity boogity. 190mph is 20mph slower than 30 years ago. It's silly. It's like going backwards in time.

Other than that, you'd have to be a real kook to not see a thrill in watching a race where 20 cars are bumper to bumper 4 and 5 wide down the backstretch.

I guess I'm a kook.

I just don't have the time, patience, or mentality to sit and watch a 5 hour left hand turn.

I tried once...............all I could think about is "Gas is $2.53 a gallon and these guys are doin this??"

Sounds like cheap gas to me  Plus, we're boaters, we burn a' plenty!
It still confounds me people who DON'T like Nascar chime in on these threads LOL. There is MUCH more than turning left, and we true Nascar fans know this. ;)

You must be the guy I followed down on Route 15W yesterday, doing 35mph in a 50mph zone with no one in front of you!:D;)

And racing gas with a nitro base is running about $5-$6/gal

Re: Nascar

Carl Edwards needs a Kick in the butt.

He's had on and off track issues for years. He knows what to say and how to smile when interviewed, but he's a dirty sumbitch!

Amazingly Jr made it from 2 laps down to finish 15th. I know, he's horrible, but I still pull for the kid.

Re: Nascar

That was a pretty cheep move from someone i concidered a clean driver!

Yes, extremely disappointed in Carl for that one. I am not sure what NASCAR's penalty will be, but it should be SEVERE. It's one thing to bump/wreck a guy under caution, but at 190+ mph?! Ridiculous!
