Do we have a snow accumulation pool going for this one?

Fire Island, South Shore Long Island 2300hrs. Son took the dog out and read 10" on the yard stick. Wind is a steady 25-30kt with some wicked gusts.

Northport, Long Island northshore.

Can't get same measurement anywhere. Lots of drifting.

Ended up with 8 - 10 in south central PA. Not a biggie, but enough to keep me busy plowing and shoveling most of the day.:)

I'd say at least a foot here. Shoveled twice already and now I have to go open up the driveway. Ugh.

Re: NE Weekend Blizzard

We've got 2' or so, hard to tell with the drifting. I plowed my driveway(900') yesterday during the meat of the storm, barely looks like I touched it. I'll be going out again in a bit and will have pics. I know we have some 4'+ drifts!

I hope my new carport(boatport) holds up!

North side of the house has about 4 ft up against the door. South side has about 6 inches. I have a full size Ram pickup and the drifts nearly reach the door handles. Gonna be a long morning. Our new puppy disappears two steps out the door and he is a black lab!! Hope to remember pics later on...

I don't think you're supposed to get what we did. Here's a few shots:

Just got done doing my driveway and my neighbors. Pretty deep, my 4x4 tractor with a locker almost got stuck a couple times.

Right on Gary, just in time! I love this tractor, I looked in the whole eastern half of the US for a 4x4 diesel tractor with hydrostatic trans and luck would have that I found this one at an estate sale auction 3 miles from my house! Even drove it home, instead of using my trailer.

Re: NE Weekend Blizzard

This was the first substantial snowfall for my Saint 'puppies'.
If you had read this thread:
http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=364875
You know that I have many Saints. I still have two of the pups from that litter. They did have and enjoy last winter, but there was not any kind of accumulation like this.

The mother and father enjoyed this storm, but let me tell you, the babies freaked out. I had let them in and out during last night as normal, up until about midnight. We hadn't gotten the brunt of it yet.

This morning we let them loose outside. The babies? snow antics were more than entertaining. They stuck their heads into the snow and started running like a plow.
Rolling around, mock fighting etc.

They even started practicing ?nesting? in a drift against my barn.

My mistake was, going out to play with them. All bets were off. They roughed me up good. The good thing was that I went with them, instead of my kids. They never get rough with the kids, but this was something else.

The adults came in, but the pups refused to come in the house. They wouldn?t come in all day. My wife just coaxed them in with some stew meat. What a day.

We just got a call from our school district, now my kids are as happy as the puppies, NO SCHOOL TOMMORROW !!!
