I also bought a small trailer. It's NOT ok to trailer it with the 9.9 Mercury on it, correct?

Is your model a standard rib or has foldable transom ? If standard no problem assuming both side trailer supports rests evenly at lower deck; if a folding model, better tow without engine. I'm sure you will like better the 3.0 psi performance than before.

Mine folds, it's the Rover 310 Lite. I better trailer with the motor mounted elsewhere, I have an idea in mind already, I'll post a pic when I get it built.

You could tow small distances with engine sitting at back transom only if rib sits properly on trailer and you have tubes inflated to max pressure to assure best tube/transom rigidity as if you were on water. If trailer has a suspension, much better.

I got the trailer all set up for the RIB, tied the rib down and put the motor on it to see how it would do.......not happy enough with it to travel with the motor on it, so I'm going to make a mount for the motor on the front winch support upright. That will also put more weight on the trailer tongue, reducing some of the banging the trailer does from too light of a front end. I mean come on, the RIB weighs 94 pounds and the motor is only 84 pounds. Trailer is about 350 I think the book said. I'm hoping it doesn't effect my highway mpg much in the car. Saturday will tell........
thanks for all the input guys !
