Reason for replacing my dash switches are, the threads on the outside trim ring have snapped on 3 of my switches. So rather than hold onto the switches with my hand behind the dash to switch it, I need to replace them. As far as I can tell they all do work, because the illumination works.

The above link is the design/type of my switches on my dash, but I was a little bit confused on if I needed single or dual circuits for my two dual use switches.

My guesses for which are the correct switches for my boat are:

Blower: ON/OFF SPST
Nav / Anchor: ON/OFF/ON DPDT (or is it SPDT?)
Bilge: ON/OFF SPST
Interior Lighting / Acc: MOM. ON/OFF/ON MOM. DPDT (or should it be on/off/on ?)
Horn: Mom ON/OFF SPST

My interior lighting as well as the accessory switch, im not sure if it's supposed to be momentary on/on, but thats how that switch is appearing to be working currently. It will not stay in up or down position. The nav/anchor light will stay in the up or down position however.

Last weekend I did jot down the locations of the wires on each switch, however I did not jot down the # of poles on each switch.

thanks to any replies.

Sounds good to me with the exception of the interior light/acc switch, should just be on/off/on as a DPDT switch although not sure I would want those 2 combined, means you can't turn on the acc if you also want the int lights on, seems funny to me. Guess it depends on what kind of acc you wire up to it.

You are also correct on the navigation/anchor light switch being a DPDT. The interior light would normally be a ON/OFF SPST and your accessory switch would be an additional ON/OFF SPST switch.

Here is a photo of my helm, five switches in total:

(left to right - blower,nav/anch,bilge,ctsy/acc,horn)

Right now, I don't even know what the ACC switch really does. I thought it may have been for the radio. I know right now the radio either has no power going to it or its a dead unit.

This weekend I will be back up north to get another look @ the switches. Then troubleshoot the bowlight not working :)

I see your up on Sparrow lake...were almost neighbors, I'm down on Couch at Ojibway Bay Marina just around the corner from Casino Rama.

I was going to ask the same thing, to find out where on Simcoe you were located. I have been into Ojibway Bay to look for used boats a couple years ago, but they don't get into used boat sales. But of course, been to Rama a couple times, but no big winner for me yet! lol.

Right now I'm sticking to Sparrow lake until I get a feel for my boat a bit better. But I hope to make some trips into Couch, possibly to the Port of Orillia for a lunch and then return back to the cottage. I have purchased a seasons pass for the Trent Severn, but still havent been through a lock yet.

Then there is Lock 43 on the north end that I would like to go through. As well as the marine railway. I hope to do that this summer, if not well .. next year.. LOL.

Yes...that is a nice trip up there, even though there is only the 4 locks for us it generally takes us a day to get to the Bay and that's only Midland or Honey Habour. Try to do it during the week though as Big Chute is a real road block on weekends, just can't handle the traffic. Swift Rapids (43) is a huge lock, I think it's around a 45 ft drop, if you get there and have time go up and look over the side and see just how small the boats look inside (careful, don't want to fall over)

Yeah they would almost need to remove the original railway and put a second one in..lol. I would love to be able to go over the current one and come back on the old one (or vice versa), that way I could experience both of them. I would like to do all my big boating travels during my holidays off from work so that we can do it on a monday - friday and not have to worry about weekend traffic.

Yeah the webpage says about a 47ft drop.. its huge! I was out there maybe 10 odd years ago, with my cousins, but I have never been back up there since then. So now that I finally have a boat, I'm looking forward to showing my girlfriend the north and south ends of Sparrow.

Is the north chute (before #43) really tight? I know there was a side route on the south side that you can pass through, but unless you are drawing too much draft or the water is down low I doubt it would be passable. But I know we have done it before in an older peterborough I/O. My cousin showing off his high speed cornering maneuvers in a tight confined area.. lol.
