Well, Bear 45/70 at least we agree on one thing.....I have no love for BO either.:D:D:D
But I won't bring politics into a boating forum.

just my penny
Im surprised nobody has mentioned what type of oil to use.
make sure that is is two stroke oil intended for use in a water cooled engine.
use a quality oil like evinrude/johnson, mercury and i hate to say that even oil from a jap junk company will work ( but why send us dollars to japan )
and the second thing is to always have the water pump in water when turning the engine over. water muffs or water tank otherwise the impeller will be trashed and if any grit was in the pump from the last use the housing will be scrapped also

I covered the type of oil extensively. What do you think TCW stands for? That's "Two Cycle, Water" cooled. The other 2 stroke oil is TCA.

Holy Sh*t, Bear 45/70 what is your deal? Man you gotta chill out here. Don't be harsh to the guys here. Most of us are here to help the best we can and many take extensive efforts to do so. If you can't be cool then maybe you should just take a hike.

Sheesh....

My thing is that he said no one covered the oil types which I did cover. What the hell is wrong with correcting a statement that is in error. Seems you are the one over reacting.

I was just adding to what was said not everyone knows what the letters stand for on oil. And for the branded oils, the motors that I grew up with are still around and running, like new, and grandpa was fanatical about oil. If you take into account that I am still recovering from a stroke and sometimes things get mixed up in my brain meybe you can see where I was coming from.

I admit I got a late start in boating I didn't get my first boat ride until I was three weeks old.
