Could someone please supply me with the proper timing specs for this motor.I know that there are 3 marks on the flywheel,but not sure what the marks degrees are.I believe in previous posts I have seen 28 and 32 degrees discussed.
Hey Marine Doc,first off let me say thanks,for all of your help to me and all others in need in this forum.Secondly,,what are the 3 timing marks on the flywheel.My motor has the middle mark highlighted in white,is this 30 degrees.What are the specs on the other 2.Also,I want to order a manual this week,what is recommended,Seloc or Clymer,,,thanks again.
If I remeber correctly...The longer line on the flywheel is to mark TDC for the pointer. There should be another line 1/5 of the way farther around the flywheel that is used to time the engine.<br /><br />This does not really matter though. Hook a timing light to #1 and you will see what to do. They are quite simple.<br /><br />TMD
