New boat owner oil question

I just bought a 1972 Silverline Comoro 16T with a mercury 800 80hp outboard of the same year. I picked up some oil last night to use and I just want to be sure so that I don't seize the motor. The oil is quicksilver synthetic blend but it's not even listed on the quicksilver site. I just want to make sure that this will be fine in the 1972 motor with a 50:1 mix ratio or should I return it and get something else? Is there any engine longevity benefit to mixing at 40:1? Here's a picture of the bottle. Many thanks in advance for any advice and I know this very same question has been discussed a thousand times but it's just that I haven't seen any information regarding this particular oil.

Hello and welcome. As long as it's TC-W3 certified the oil is good for your motor.
No advantage to mixing at 40:1

+1. Your advantage is in your getting the blend rather than straight dino oil......opinion based upon experience.

Any TCW-III certified two cycle oil is fine. Synthetic or synthetic blend costs more, and some say it is better. I think it just burns your money up faster, w/o any benefit.

I use the penzoil synthetic blend at 40:1. It doesnt smoke. Not even a little. The straight dyno oil smokes. Thats all I need to know.
