Awesome. It does have ac/heat. So ill need a shore power cord with a splitter? I will be staying at the dock nightly so what would I need an adapter for? I think it's 220 at the dock...? What do you use the power cord for?

Thanks!

I believe that is going to be 110V. I'm guessing in the marine world they just adapted a 220v outlet for their usage due to the twist lock feature and then later on somebody decided to make the addition of the threaded collar standard also to increase safety and reap a few more bucks from the boat owner also.. I use a 220v female replacement extension cord end put on the last couple feet of the male end of a thicker gauge 110v extension cord. I don't know how acceptable this is, but this is what I do to plug in my boat in order to use the onboard charger at home.

Does anybody know if this is acceptable practice at a marina? In that situation I would secure the connections to prevent them from coming apart and falling into the water.

How's your cocpit enclosure (camper canvas)? Is it in good condition? Have you figured out the best way to put it all up? Every boat is different. You'll want to be able to use it. Don't know where you live, but the mosquitos and green flies can make life miserable unless you keep them out of the boat.

In that same vein, OFF mosquito coils do a fantastic job on damned near every flying critter we've ever encountered. Don't bother with the fancy $10. coil holder unless you're into it. It's gonna get broken on the boat anyway. The end of the coil fits neatly into the neck of an empty beer bottle.

welcome to the wonderful world of day/weekend cruising. I just rejoined as well and the best thing I just bought (good for any application boat wise) was for $20 a canvas "snap" tool for aiding in putting on/off canvas convertible tops/mooring covers,etc...
I DO NOT KNOW WHY I SUFFERED FOR YEARS W/.OUT ONE! GREATEST TOOL EVER! even if your canvas is not shrunk this thing has paid for itself already!

do not underestimate the necessity of a pole hook. i have had one for decades and never sold it w/ any of my previous large boats and look forward to "stowing it" on my 83 Nantucket Express!

Whenever I'm on the boat docked or anchored around sundown, I light one or two of these up. I keep a bunch of them in the cuddy, they work great.

Try a pop/beer can, fill bottom with a little sand or gravel, spin the coil through the tab.
Place in the center of a pie dish or plate.

For the OP, put together a load list.
One for full time gear, supplies and food and another for perishables and clothes.
It will not take long till your overloaded and it becomes a PITA to move around, everything has a place.

do not underestimate the necessity of a pole hook

While it may not be a the most important item of safety on a boat, it can increase a boatman's reach and extra 6 to 10 ft thus increasing his zone of safety. With it he may be able to repel a boat that may be out of control or adrift. It may allow the operator to maneuver into his slip easier. Not all boaters are as accomplished at landing as others.

When I've participated in the USCGA's CMI's to get my boat inspected, the pole/boat hook is something they like to see aboard.

As I operate on the Ohio River I always have current and some wind to contend with. This device serves me well.

Another thing I bring is a light we use while the camper is up - You might have an arch with lights, Not sure as you didn't post any pics. :) - I use a tent light I got at wal-mart and hang it above the cockpit table, Works great. Looks like everything else has been covered.
