Re: New Cabin Cruiser owner!!
I believe that is going to be 110V. I'm guessing in the marine world they just adapted a 220v outlet for their usage due to the twist lock feature and then later on somebody decided to make the addition of the threaded collar standard also to increase safety and reap a few more bucks from the boat owner also.. I use a 220v female replacement extension cord end put on the last couple feet of the male end of a thicker gauge 110v extension cord. I don't know how acceptable this is, but this is what I do to plug in my boat in order to use the onboard charger at home.
Does anybody know if this is acceptable practice at a marina? In that situation I would secure the connections to prevent them from coming apart and falling into the water.
Awesome. It does have ac/heat. So ill need a shore power cord with a splitter? I will be staying at the dock nightly so what would I need an adapter for? I think it's 220 at the dock...? What do you use the power cord for?
Thanks!
