New shift cable adjustment issues alpha 1

Hello,
I have finished installig a new shift cable yesterday and i installed per directions "I think". My issue is in neutral the shift shaft turns freely left and right by hand. In forward locks counter clockwise and clockwise it turns but it takes effort seems to be hanging up.....in reverse it is locked both ways...when I adjust the barrel adjustment and turn or 2 I get a a totally different reaction. Moves freely in both directions or locked up in both so on and so forth...then I adjust and put it in reverse it locks clock wise and clicks and moves freely counter clockwise but is locked in foreword both directions...something is not right, I'm afraid to start it and run through gears. Any insight into this issue will be welcomed.

Nice video, the manual did not give that much detail. I'll try it the way you did it and see.

Great vid Chris! That's the first explanation I've seen of how that lower shift slot adjustment affects shifting.
