Re: New to BK's stable, whaddya think???
BK, that 1951 10 is a beaut! For $50, wow! I think that motor may be the last year for the olde-style

guilotine points rather than the newer OMC universal type. It always relieves me to see one of these great old motors end up in the caring hands of a knowledgable collector. I have looked at old motors that ended up in the hands of a newby that didn't know enough to run at least 24:1 mix or replace the impeller.
Cofe, my dad had that exact motor, a 1967 folding weedless 3. He bought it new but never used it until 1974. It quickly gained battle scars

but always ran like a champ. We used it for trolling on dad's 16' Starcraft. It worked beautifully in the weeds on Long Point on Lake Erie. We used it in Algonquin Park on my Grumman canoe or occasionally flew in to remote fishing spots with it. Great motors, those 3s. Now my brother owns it. Ours didn't come with the storage case.
