Hi!. I just came into possession of an older model # 40872C. This has the "selectric" shifting. I'm guessing that the reason the numbers don't match my seloc manual numbers is that the C means it is a Canadian version??? Also, the pushbutton shifting according to the manual should have the green wire energized for 'reverse' and BOTH wires energized for neutral. On mine, I have one energized when forward is depressed and the other one energized when reverse is depressed, and no juice when the neutral is depressed. Could there be a completely different operation on this model... hardly seems likely, as in the style listed in the manual, the operator can at least go forward without power to the shifting unit.
