New used Fuel tanks

Okay so I found a deal on craigslist.org I could not pass up got a 25 gal. alumiweld fuel tank for 50 dollars now i want to flush it before I install it what is the best method of doing this?

It was sitting out in a junk yard so dirt, dust, I shook out a lot of dirt but I want to make sure it is clean.

Put a length of chain into the filler. Hang onto the end of the chain and shake the crap (literally) out of the tank. Flush it with diesel fuel, kerosene or any other solvent that is not quite as explosive as gasoline.

on another note my riding lawn mower got sugar in the tank from a pissed off ex would that work for that too, I haven't ran the engine yet so I know that's no problem.
