Re: NFL Draft

After the Cowboy' lousy draft, would make sense to complete insanity by grabbing Tebow.

I actually think he will end up in Canada.

Then he'll come back to the NFL and be the next Flutie........

Or Warren Moon? Although Moon and Flutie have eight Grey Cup wins between them and no Super Bowl wins as starters, that's asking a lot of Tebow.

Re: NFL Draft

What are you guys crying about. I got the Browns!!!! Lerner closes the money door on Modell, team goes to Baltimore, NFL gives the team to Lerner.

Cleveland builds a so so stadium on the most expensive land in Ohio, no taxes????
Randy Lerner takes over a team he has no interest in. (English soccer is his love)

We finally get a FOOTBALL owner, new front office, new coaches, and now it looks like Haslam will be going to jail.
Browns draft 2 players (no starters) and trade off the rest for players this year and next.

Man we stink, with no end of the stench for years to come.

Re: NFL Draft

Is Kosar working anywhere? Maybe he could be coaxed out of retirement....

Kosar is a Florida boy. Comes back in town as color analyst for the games.

We have had lots of changes with the Browns but no one will hire Kosar.
Having someone smarter than you on staff????
Not going to happen in Cleveland.

Boomer Esiason does the local sports radio here. He won't have anything to do with the Jets. Want his #? : )

Cleveland builds a so so stadium ...

As a lifelong Steelers fan, it's not even fun to hate the Browns anymore. I mostly feel sad for guys like you (and my sister and brother-in-law)
After all the Real Browns are in Baltimore, and I dislike them with almost every ounce of my being! (Darnit Ozzie, why did you have to be as good of a GM as you were a player?!)

I thought the stadium was nice when I went to a Steelers' game there in 2004. Clean, good sight lines, lots of bathrooms, and easy to get to.

Boomer is just being Boomer. We have a new FM sports channel and he gets on there now and then. :lalala:

Last season you were saying how great they(Browns) were...what changed?

No, the Real Browns are in Cleveland, they stunk before the move. We are just carrying out the tradition.

Yep, really dislike Baltimore too.

Have to give it to Ozzie, he is one smart football man.

Your right it's nice. The old stadium was "the mistake on the lake", built for the Olympics that Cleveland never got.
So they build the new one in the same spot????
Open stadium on Lake Erie, A mile away it's 15 deg. warmer even on a cool day, and the openings let the wind howl right thru.
I better stop, so many more ??????

Their owner, and their coaching staff. And their QB probably.

But nice to see you still don't know what you're talking about.

When's your Fantasy Draft this year? You might want to concentrate on that, you're good at that.

Nope, the Browns were good before they left. To allow this expansion team to be this bad for this long is nearly a travesty. And I don't understand how it can happen, the way the NFL is set up for parity?!

It was late November when we went, and I didn't notice howling winds or a big decrease in temp as we walked the 6 blocks to the stadium. Maybe we were lucky?

Re: NFL Draft

Its just too difficult to rate a draft until these guys have played in the league awhile. Anything after round 3 is a gamble. My personal opinion is that the best teams in the league usually pick well in the later rounds. That is where the talent bench gets created. I think I saw a stat somewhere were the Packers and Colts (during the Manning era) both statistically had the highest percentage of players on the roster from their own draft. Just by where the players graded out pre draft, I think the NFC and AFC West teams collectively had the best drafts.
