Re: NFL - Week 4

NY Giants fell a yard short last night. Hard fought back and forth contest. Eli threw an INT in the end zone and couldn't move the ball closer for a routine FG in the final seconds which made the game come down to a 54 yd FG attempt when his career long is 53 yds. Refs called the game tight but fair.

You mean the FG kicker couldn't hit a short 54 yard chip shot? Rams kicker Greg (the leg) Zuerlein made a 58 and 60.

Though you was a vikes fan? Why would you be pulling for Da Bears? I do understand its the cowgirls but you have to hope other teams in your own division lose and lose often, otherwise your vikes have no chance of post-season.

That's ok. Since I have "no control"(lol, Art?) on the outcome of the game, I'd rather not root for a team that I completely dislike. Go Bears!:)

Has he kicked them in two Superbowls?

No, that would be hard to do since he's just a rookie. I guess we're spoiled since he kicked a 55 and 59 in preseason, and a 56, 58 and 60 in regular season.

Re: NFL - Week 4

Vikings have had some explosive special teams plays. Our kicker/punter our really allowing us to utilize our field position, and it appears Frazier and Co. are learning how to manage the clock properly. Oh I don't have any complaints on Ponder yet either, the kid is executing at a professional level now.

I am by no means gonna say Vilkes all the way, but I know my team will be fun to watch this year as long as we can stay healthy.

I ALSO rooted for the Cowboys to lose.

Are we talking about the same Vikings that only had 15 first downs, 227 yards and a QB rating of 71.2 in the last game?

But, what was his QB rating in the 1st 3? I believe he was pretty much on top of the league......

No where near the top, even for the first 3 games.

Now granted, they did beat the 49ers but the other 2 opponents were the Colts and Jaguars. Way to early to tell how good they really are.

Re: NFL - Week 4

Week 1 - 105.5
2 - 114.6
3 - 94.7
4 - 71.2
Avg - 97.7 in 8th amongst starters.

Had a pretty good first 3 weeks. Brady was terrible until week 4 which catapulted him upwards. Still above the Mannings, Romo, Flacco and 5.5 below RG3. Ryan is playing out of his mind at the moment.

Just saying Ponder is doing ok so far. As a Viking fan, it's tough to complain up to this point. How will their season go? Who knows. I'll just enjoy the moment.

Look at yards/game and its a whole different story.

They have a pretty easy schedule(may go 3-3 in next 6 games) until after their bye week. Then they may have trouble winning another game game. My prediction is they go 6-10 or 7-9 for the season.

Why aren't you a Packers fan? :)

Re: NFL - Week 4

No doubt about the yards per game. Still on top of the division for now. As mentioned, just going to enjoy the moment.

They may pull off a 4 - 2.
1)Tenn home - W
2) at Wash, that will be tough - L
3) Cards, still not on that wagon. They could beat them at home - W (or not)
4) TB home - W
5) at Sea, could be tough - L (Although, a viable shot at a win)
6) Detroit home, we're going to sweep them - W

Cards and Seattle could be iffy either way. These are the Vikings, they could easily go 2 - 4. Been down that road after a good start........ :(

I'm a transplant from Mn. As long as the Vikings stay home, I'll always be a fan......... :)

If they didn't just approve a fancy stadium, I would agree!
Is it for sure?

Seems like a lot of teams are using LA as leverage to negotiate against their home cities.

Los Angeles Chargers maybe!

I'm guessing your glad you don't have to worry about the Bears until the end of the season.

Yeah, we can wait. By then we'll either be on a roll, or, the wheels will already have fallin' off. Play you guys right after our bye. Twice in 3 weeks with GB in between, then Houston a couple games later! A tough stretch. It will be gut check time...
