So we had a nice little storm here and smack, the 45 - 50 mph winds sucked the sliding aluminum door right off my boat. I gathered the pieces and put the frame back together, no damage to the frame, for once I get to be appreciative of rusted bolts, that's where the door broke.

So new bolts and piece of plexiglass. The bottom was a piece of laminate. I can't afford the custom cut laminate right now but wanted to know if I took a piece of plywood, used some stain and then Marine Spar coated the wood, would that be a good temporary fix?

Re: Nice little storm here....OUCH!

Getting the snow as we speak, about an inch on the ground. The winds are over but the damage was pretty decent, tree branches, some trees a few roofs damaged, typical winter storm stuff. People here only see snow once or twice a year so they loose their mind when they drive. We live on a very steep hill so it's not uncommon to see cars spinning down the street with wide eyed drivers peering over the "death grip" on the steering wheel...lol
