I will give that a shot first. I've been researching this to death. Once I re-seat it, I may go ahead and epoxy from the outside. I had one local marine mechanic mechanic tell me to pull it apart and see if I could get any epoxy applied from the inside as well. I'll have to double check that but I don't remember seeing any access to the plug from inside the carb.

Well, as it stands, I ordered a "refurb" unit from California and couldn't be happier. I went ahead and added in the electric choke upgrade to make like a bit easier.

Here is a quick video of it running. At this point, all I have done it install the carb, hooked it all back up and wired in the electric choke. I had to bring the idle down just a bit. I'll tweak the fine tuning a little bit later. One step at a time...

Took my first run on the old gal today just to see how it ran on the water.
