I live near the chesapeake and love to fish for croaker, spot, rockfish, etc... I started to use fishbites this year and I will never go back to buying bloodworms for $10/dozen. both bloodworm and crab fishbites work great, stay on the hook, don't die, and catch more fish than the real thing. Not to mention the fact that Maine bloodworms are over harvested. There are several brands and they all work great. Despite the better results, I think Croakers and spot were not as plentifull as last year in the bay, but small rocks are still moving the baitfish. Many old charter captains have told me that rockfish are becoming more and more unpredictable in the bay every year. This year, the shallows are hot but all over the place.
