I used to have an old(1978) 10hp Honda and it had a shear pin at the propeller shaft. Anytime the propeller hit an obstacle, the pin would break and the propeller and shaft wouldn't get damaged. Now I have a new 20hp Honda and it has no shear pin. I doubt Honda engineers would design a system in which there's no "fuse" to save the essential parts. Does anyone know how this "no-shear-pin" system works? What is supposed to break when your propeller hits something?
Thanks!
