no response to my last 3 post

just wondering, i got no responses on my last 3 posts.... anybody have any idea?

i ve been buying parts here on iboats for the last 6 mos. i have my boat and are you guys just very busy or what?

summer is coming and theres no reason to have a boat if its not running....

might as well change hobby.. flying maybe on air ....

Eh, don't take it personally. Probably,,, no one who knew the answer to your question or were too busy, better to get no comments than bad advice I say.

Ya, don't take it personally. Maybe just bump your post to the top with a reply from you adding any more information or just continually asking nicely for advice.

Guys, nobody here at the iboats forums actual work for iboats, they are all boating enthusiasts like you and me. If you don't get a reply to a question, either it has been lost in the plethora of threads or the answer is not known. It could also be that the people who do know the answers are too busy fishing.

There are dozens of very skilled techs on these forums and NONE of them like getting PM questions. Unless invited to do so, I would suggest a technical question via PM will be ignored.

Bump your thread to the top at the beginning of the day, if it is seen, and the answer is known, someone will reply.

Very few posts get ignored. When one gets no reply it could be that:

There is not enough information.
The post is unreadable because of poor or missing capitalization, punctuation, poor spelling.

In one of your posts you actually hijacked a thread asking how to post a new thread. I answered that question and it apparently got answered because you created this one. I also did a search and found no other posts by you. So give us another chance. Post again -- and not in someone elses thread.

i posted on april 21st ( 2 posts) and until now theres no any responses to them yet to my simple basic questions which i know somebody has answers for it.

well might a well mention it here.

i have a 1966 110hp inline six mercury outboard

2 coils, 2 points, 2 condenser & 3 carbs

originally it was running fine 3 mos. ago then i ran out of gas 3 miles from the shore. the problem was the diapram busted out on those 2 fuel pump. i rebuilt the 2 fuel pumps and the 3 carbs and i replaced the 6 spark plugs

now my problem is when you re on the driveway with earmuffs on & running water it idles fine, run smooth ,but when you put it to gear it hesitate but
does not backfire, i can see lots of gas coming out from the carbs but doesnt acccelerate right, it boggs down at high rpm?

is this a carbs adjustment problem? i know i have sufficient fuel going in, could it be a spark problem? since i havent touch the breaker points?

any feedback will help what to do on this bulldog?

allen im no expert by any means but do you have the motor trimmed up in the driveway? if so that will cause the gas to pour out of carbs. what i have saw about adjusting carbs is turn low idle screw on carbs all the way in then turn each one 1 1/2 turn out, then adjust each, starting with the top carb and work down turning no more than a 1/4 turn per carb to get it running smooth. i had a problem with my 1980 115 cutting out and bogging down on the lake but running fine with the muffs on, turned out to be my rectifier. i hope this helps you out.

I also suggest syncing the carbs by turning them in and backing out 1/4 turn until it runs smoothly.....sounds like its getting too much fuel, possibly fouling your plugs....especially after a rebuild, all nice and clean jets will flow more fuel than old clogged ones...

It is also possible that the float level is not set correctly, the inlet needles and seats were incorrectly installed or not sealing, and that one or more of the floats is incorrectly installed.

if you look WOT , you can see gas inside the carbs


but maybe i should try replacing my rectifier for a change. there is no switchbox on this babies???

i check my rectifier here but all the pictures are different.
mostly i saw here are square mine is a rectangle type that has 3 terminal on top not like the one square black in color.

is it safe to use this black sqaure ione?

have you rebuilt the carbs? I would at least remove and check them as a first step(not the easiest job but usually the problem)... I start by checking the carbs then work backwards from there to the fuel tank.. then I check ignition starting from the plugs and then back from there.. The boat bogs in gear because you are putting a load on the engine and it isn't producing the power it needs to maintain idle..

also a rectifier is not going to effect the running condition of your boat.. It has to do with the charging system and the boat will run find without one.. Although your battery will die and no Tachometer..
