agreed, looks like there is no wire coming off the R terminal

You guys should remember me (this) post from last year. Granted we only took her out 4 times last summer (I don’t live on a lake anymore). But she cranked up every time & ran great.
I pulled her out this evening and she did the same problem. Began firing as soon as I connected the starter to the + coil. Afterwards in cranked after each switching off (wire removed).
What causes this and what can I do to fix it.
Thanks!

Clear the corrosion from the wire going from the coil + to thw starter R terminal. Service the points (clean them - they corrode from sitting)

Again, the cranking 12v to the coil on your engine comes from the pur/yell wire off the slave solenoid.

Got around to it today. I cleaned all battery terminals, removed wires from the solenoid (2 large together & one small). Ready to crank her & nothing. No power to the ignition switch so no blower or instrument lights on.
The ignition fuse under the panel is good.
I ran a hot wire to the ignition wire and the igniting key worked.
I then ran a wire from the * battery to the two coil wires and the bilge worked. This is a 14 ga wire I used.
But with the hot wire connected to the solenoid & ignition lights working I turned the key 🤓. The engine began to turn slowly then my wire over heated.
I’d like some help solving this.🙏. I was hoping to camp this weekend with it.
Thank you!

When I tightened the large wire on the solenoid the screw shaft turned. Could that have broken something inside of the solenoid?

I hope this entire post will start again for me. Again it’s the first start up of the year. Plugs are not firing again. I rubbed the points with a file (to brush off corrosion), with the key on the points open I touched a screwdriver between the point and the engine backfired. I repeated the process of running a wire from the starter solenoid to the + coil & started the engine but had no fire at the plugs.
I connected this same solenoid wire to the + battery & engine turns over, no spark.
I think it was decided that the + coil wire going to the solenoid must be shorted someplace.
I don’t know where to go at this point.
