No Tell Tale after running into sand

Ran in to a sand bar today with my 1990 Mercury 90hp...got home and hooked up the mickey mouse ears and tried flushing and to see a few drops of water coming from the tell tale. Looking for some help on this one. Hoping to clear this up on my own. Thanks.

I know it's late...read some other sand adventures and went out and removed the tell tale hose and found it full of sand. Cleaned it out and in the morning I will hook up the water and make sure the impeller is still good.

If you sucked up enough sand through the impeller to plug the tell tale then I think pulling the L/U and rebuilding the water pump is in order. It's only 40.00 bucks and an hour of your time.

Thanks. Happy Memorial Day. Thanks for serving. I will need to get the manual on the 90hp Mercury engine so I don't mess anything else up.
