Just a frustration post!!!
This morning I did not have any water pressure and the best I could get was a pencil stream from the faucet. Ironic since the rest of the country is flooding out.
Called a Water Well company and it seems as if the pump has troubles or it is trouble at the connection at the pump..... at the bottom of the drilled well. Since the pump is a 1979 vintage and the pipe in the well is galvanized ....... it has to be pulled by a pump truck.
I am going to replace the pump since it is a 1979 or older and "could" contain pcb's in the pump oil. (I have seen them rupture and destroy a well) I am also going to replace the galvanized pipe (the last piece I am aware of) since I converted my 1860's farm house over to all copper about 20 years ago. The Well company told me that they will install 1" black plastic pipe.... cheaper than copper and reliable too.
GRrrrrrr..... just pisses me off I really did not need this repair bill right now but...... I consider it safer to do now instead of the dead of winter.
